This is for anyone new to the forum that wants to come hear some of the tunes - here are my personal pages of many recordings of the various projects and bands I've been in over the years, including my Apokalypsos recordings.

http://soundcloud.com/algarothsyum_vhyle/sets - there is most of my recorded stuff over the years, including several bands and projects. Ignore the EZDrummer lessons, since those are being used on a HomeRecording forum. The bottom of the first page of the Sets List is all of my previous Apokalypsos contributions, as well as a few newer tracks.

https://www.facebook.com/Algarothsyum - my main solo project, Algarothsyum - post-apocalyptic, atmospheric instrumental metal. Two releases thus far: "Spiraling to Realization", a 5-track demo released in March 2011, and the debut full-length album "Wastelander's Epoch", an 11-track album released in May 2012.

http://www.youtube.com/user/Algaroth - Algarothsyum Youtube channel. You can listen to both releases in the Playlists here. You can also hear them on Soundcloud, listed above.

There are a few more links I could provide, but these are the most important ones.

Mainly, my musical emphasis lies mostly in metal of various types, soundscapes/ambient, instrumentals, and sometimes jazz. I'm a HUGE fan of atmosphere, and I consider it to be one of the most important, if not THE most important factor that I put into my music. Atmosphere is what makes or breaks a good, eerie fitting soundtrack to a post-apocalyptic environment.

Enjoy the tunes! There are plenty more on the way! Currently I'm involved in 3 projects - Algarothsyum, Astral Throne (a metal band with a friend), and of course, Apokalypsos. Stay tuned for new stuff!

- Vhyle

Hey guys, here is an update about two years overdue, but an update nonetheless!

My solo project Algarothsyum has an official Bandcamp page, where you can find both of the full length albums and the new EP.

Since I lasted updated this thread, I have released my second album, "The Obsidian Towers", on January 1st 2014. And also, I released the new 1-track EP "Seasons in Decimation" back in June of this year. And of course, the debut album "Wastelander's Epoch", which features "Travelling Song" which was originally written for Apokalypsos. Hopefully you guys remember that, haha.

So go check it out! There's plenty of wasteland metal to be heard on there.

Also, I am pretty driven right now to get this community back up and running. I want to continue recording material for Apokalypsos, especially since I have learned a great deal about recording and production since I first started working on the project. I hope that Ejpt and Sonix are still on board as well. I realize I've been absent for a long time, and I apologize for that. I won't waste my time by spilling out excuses. I just want to come back and get to work on the project some more.

Over the weekend, I recorded two ambient tracks for the Apok soundtrack. The titles are most likely temporary, but they convey what I was going after with the song.

As I record more Apok tracks, I'll upload them here to this Soundcloud playlist. Let me know what you guys think! I'm pretty happy with how they're turning out so far. And there will be MANY more tracks like this.

Two new tracks added - "Rain Thing" and "Beyond the Wastes". Check it out and let me know what you guys think. They are on the bottom of the playlist.

I'm back, don't worry. I added "Snowblind" (no, not a Black Sabbath cover) to the list as well, although it's not a brand new track.

I haven't made any new tunes in a while. Once again, life gets in the way like that. But more tracks will be coming soon!
